Meet Your Pensacola Veterinarians

Dr. Margaretha Platzer
Veterinarian
Dr. Margaretha (Marcy) Platzer is a native of Coral Springs, Florida where she was involved in her family restaurant, Old Vienna (Austrian/German cuisine). She has always been drawn to animals and is naturally curious and became motivated by the medical field and its never-ending evolution of discoveries.
She graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Florida State University and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. George University with clinical year studies at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. While at FSU, she volunteered at St. Francis Wildlife Center and the Tallahassee Animal Shelter and interned with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in the Animal Industry Division.

Dr. Platzer joined the Safe Habor Animal Hospital family after graduating from veterinary school. She has a special interest in exotic medicine and soft tissue surgery. At home, she has Nala, a Siamese kitty, Poppy a “

Dr. Brooke Clement
Veterinarian
Dr. Brooke Clement is a native of Houma, a town located down in the bayous of South Louisiana, and graduated from LSU with a Bachelor's in Biology and from School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017.
She has had an interest in animals, especially wildlife and exotics, for as long as she can remember. Her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are meeting puppies and kittens and getting to watch them grow up. She also loves that no two days are ever the same. In her free time, Dr. Brooke enjoys swimming, cooking (eating), and fishing. Her household includes a spunky Boston terrier mix, a cuddly Tomcat, and a bearded dragon.

Veterinarian

Dr. Johnna Bowles
Veterinarian
Dr. Johnna “Maggie” Bowles was born and raised in the Pensacola area. She is a graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year of veterinary school at the University of Florida.
She has been involved with animals her whole life, including volunteering with wildlife rescue and working as a veterinary technician prior to veterinary school. Dr. Bowles has a fondness for rescuing black animals and currently has three black rescue cats and a black shepherd/lab mix. She is passionate about integrative medicine and dentistry. Outside of the vet hospital, she loves music, both playing and listening, reading, and traveling.
